How do I register to vote?
South Portland voters can register in
person at City Hall or by mail. The Voter Guide from the Maine State Government
website includes voter eligibiltiy requirements and a sample
form.
Who do I vote for?
Where you live determines your district
at all levels of governent. The City of South Portland
includes five districts used for electing School Board and
City Council representatives and also determines where
you go to vote. South Portland voters also elect a
representative on the Cumberland County Board of
Commissioners, District 2. South Portland contains three
State House of Representatives Districts: HD 122, 123 &
124. All of South Portland is in State Senate
District 7, as well as Congressional District 1 (U.S. House of
Representatives).
